May is Beef Month

Sirloin, tenderloin, rib-eye, brisket, hamburger, meatloaf, meatballs – BEEF (it’s what’s for dinner!)

May is Beef Month, so why not celebrate with local, sustainable, beef from Barstow’s Longview Farm!?

Barstow’s Beef is raised on the Barstow family farm in Hadley, MA. Our meat does not contain antibiotics, steroids, or added hormones.

We feed our cattle from the land we farm.

Our animals receive a varied diet that includes grass, clover, alfalfa, corn and some grain. Grass and corn are harvested and stored in large silos. This enables us to feed our cattle year round with our own crops.

Due to the varied diet of our herd, our beef has a slightly higher fat percentage than strictly grass fed beef. This makes Barstow’s Beef ideal for grilling. Much of the fat grills right off and you are left with a delicious, tender, steak or burger. We also offer ground beef, roasts and dog bones. Bulk orders are available.

Our meat is prepared at a local USDA inspected facility in Massachusetts and is only available at Barstow’s Dairy Store and Bakery.  Check out our cuts and pricing.

Pick up burgers and steaks from Barstow’s for spring picnics, Memorial Day Weekend grilling, or maybe a unique gift for Mom!
