It’s important to us to be an educational and recreational resource for our community. Agriculture is a part of nearly everyone’s roots, and while we sense that connection is beginning to be lost, we want to keep the line of communication and experience wide open!
Our farm tour is a great opportunity to see a working, innovative dairy farm. The tour guide will provide a history of the Barstow family farm as well as many other dairy farming points of interest as we travel through the barns and amongst the cows.
At Burger Fest 2018, Barstow’s will be offering two type of tours:
Between 11am and 3pm on Saturday, July 21, hop on the wagon for a guided tour of the farm with the Barstow’s friend and neighbor, Dylan. Your tour will visit the anaerobic digester, compost pad, heifer barn, bunker silo, give a view of one milking robot, milking barn, and calf barn. Wagon Ride Farm tours take approximately 30 minutes and are free.
Between noon and 3pm on Saturday, July 21, join seventh generation farmer Denise Barstow for a Walking Farm Tour. Your tour will visit the anaerobic digester, heifer barn, milking robot, milking barn, and calf barn. Walking Farm Tours take approximately 45 minutes and are free.
