There are about 100 heifer calves born each year on Barstow’s Longview Farm!
Every calf born gets a number and inputted into our computer system so we can keep track of her for her entire life on the farm.
Each one of our animals has her own distinct personality, and to honor that, we make sure each calf gets a name. To make it even easier to keep track of them, calves born around the same time have names that begin with the same letter.
