It is the day we, and more importantly, the cows, have been waiting for since fall! Spring has arrived! It won’t be long (hopefully tomorrow, fingers crossed) before the farmers are in the field bringing in the cover crop harvest.
But today is all about the cows! Grab some lunch and some ice cream – and a spot on the hill! The heifers are released at 1:00pm! We’ll be offering free walking farm tours at 11:30am and 1:30pm. Please note we will not accommodate late arrivals, you must be on a tour to walk around the farm. Wear shoes that can get muddy and maybe bring an umbrella for the first tour. The walking tour is about 1/4 mile and involves hills, uneven terrain, and weather.
In an effort to serve folks quickly today, our menu will be slightly limited between 11am-2pm You can see that menu here (scroll to the bottom of the event info). We won’t be offering any hot sandwiches for those hours, but we will have almost all of our cold sammies plus lots of mac n’cheese: regular, asparagus, and bacon cheeseburger, yum!
Bring Mom along to Pasture Day and let her pick out her favorite flower basket and perfect pastry for breakfast in bed tomorrow morning, Mother’s Day! We have beautiful cards, artwork, local treats, wine, coffee, cheese, and more things Mom loves. And of course, gift certificates, for a local lunch out!
Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible Mom’s in our community! We hope you have a special day.
