Happy National Drive Thru Window Day! (yes it’s a thing!)
When we opened up Barstow’s Dairy Store and Bakery in 2008, we left many scratching their heads…. a drive thru window at a farmstand? We wanted to best serve our community: commuters, dog owners, parents with kiddos in car seats, and all.
The drive thru window was frequented in the morning by a few regulars and a convenient stop for lunch or a milkshake on the go. That is until March 2020….
During the early months of the COVID19 health emergency, Barstow’s Dairy Store and Bakery had transitioned fully to drive thru service only.
Now that some bit of normalcy is back in our lives, Barstow’s is open inside for ordering, shopping, and dining – but our drive thru remains open!
It is easy to visit our drive thru window. Simply stop at the speaker at the top of the hill to check out our menu and place your order. We ask that you please stop at that speaker even if you’ve ordered ahead. Once you get the all clear, pull on up to the window where we can ring you out and get you your goodies! From there, you’re welcome to enjoy your meal at home, or pull back around via 47 to the parking area and outdoor seating.

Barstow’s Dairy Store and Bakery and Barstow’s Longview Farm is owned and operated by sixth and seventh generation Barstow’s. Nestled at the base of Skinner State Park and right alongside the Connecticut River, the dairy farm has been a part of the landscape since 1806.
Barstow’s Dairy Store and Bakery offers homemade baked goods and pies, lunch from local ingredients, farm fresh produce, farm raised beef, ice cream, and scenic views of protected farmland from the porch and dining room.
