National Ag Day Farm Tours
March 14 @ 12:00 pmFree
March 14 is National Agriculture Day.
Here at Barstow’s Longview Farm, every day is Ag Day. Agriculture isn’t only our livelihood, it is a way of life. Today we invite you to consider how agriculture impacts your life. Farmers raise fruits, veggies, livestock, trees, and seafood.
In honor of Ag Day, join us for a free walking farm tour at noon.
Tour begins at Barstow’s Dairy Store and Bakery on the porch and takes about 1 hour. The tour will visit the farm’s anaerobic digester, bunker silo, milking herd, robotic milker, and calf barn. Please wear shoes that can get muddy.
Registration is not required. We are unfortunately not able to accommodate late-comers! Tour is rain, snow, or shine unless Barstow’s Dairy Store and Bakery is closed for inclement weather. We will update our Facebook page with that information if pertinent!
Would like to attend a farm tour at Barstow’s Longview Farm but this date won’t work for you? No problem, schedule a private tour with us!
Barstow’s Dairy Store and Bakery and Barstow’s Longview Farm is owned and operated by sixth and seventh generation Barstow’s. Nestled at the base of Skinner State Park and right alongside the Connecticut River, the dairy farm has been a part of the landscape since 1806.
Barstow’s Dairy Store and Bakery offers homemade baked goods and pies, lunch from local ingredients, farm fresh produce, farm raised beef, ice cream, and scenic views of protected farmland from the porch and dining room. This family friendly store is open daily year round. Come meet your neighborhood dairy farmer!
