Dinner & a Speaker: Holly Hanson

April 9, 2019 @ 6:00 pm

$18

We held our first ever Dinner & a Speaker in honor of our 10 Year Anniversary last December. The event was a hit and we’d like to offer it again!

We invite you to make your reservations today for this Dinner & a Speaker event, Rural Prosperity: How we lost it and how we get it back on Tuesday, April 9.

The vision for Dinner & a Speaker events are to gather our community around good food and interesting conversation around agriculture.  As farmers, we can’t just farm anymore, we have to engage, converse, educate, and network in our community. Sure it’s more work, but it’s worth it – it helps us to grow and makes our neighborhood stronger.

The Dinner: A buffet of delightful homemade food

The Speaker: Dr. Holly Hanson

Holly Hanson teaches History at Mount Holyoke, where her classes include “The Once and Future Family Farm” and “Food and Hunger in the Modern World,” in addition to classes about African history. She started teaching the history of agriculture in response to student interest, as part of a new research project on the history of rural economy in Uganda, and probably as a way to get closer to her family’s farm roots in central Kansas.

$18.00 per person. BYOB. Visit us, call, or email us to make your reservation! Please RSVP by Tuesday, April 2.
