In 2019\, our Pasture Day event gathered well over 250 people. But keep these things in mind: \n\nEven with recent changes to restrictions\, face masks continue to be required at all times at events\, indoors and outdoors. Please wear a face covering during Pasture Day\, at the drive thru window\, and inside of Barstow’s Dairy Store and Bakery unless you are seated at a table.\nBe respectful of those around you by keeping a safe distance.\nOur farmstand is understaffed and our team remains extraordinarily grateful for your patience and patronage. We are looking forward to your visit!\nPlease do not park in front of the pasture gate\, we’ll need access to release the girls!\nIf you bring your pup\, please keep them on leash at all times\, pick up after your pet\, and remove them if they bark at the bovines. Dog visitors should be okay with children and other dogs.\nPlease do not shout or startle the cows. Our animals prefer quiet\, slow movements. It’s the time of year we determine the fields are dry enough\, the grass is green enough\, and the fences are repaired to release our ‘dry’ (not currently milking) cow herd onto pasture\, and several heifers into the front field of Barstow’s Dairy Store and Bakery. \nTraditionally this special event involves live music\, farm tours\, lots of ice cream\, and a few grass stains. DESCRIPTION:Pasture Day is a farm favorite!\nAfter inspecting and repairing fence\, the farmers are ready to let the girls out of the barn and into the field. Spring is here! And with winter months in the barn behind them\, the cows will be frolicking their way into the green green grass! \nThis event is not to be missed! \nGrab some lunch or some ice cream – and a spot on the hill!  The heifers are released at 1:00pm!\nFree walking farm tour kicks off the day at 11:30am. Please note we will not accommodate late arrivals! Wear boots that can get muddy. \nLive music on the porch by Old Country Road\, 11am to 1pm.  And more tunes from the Pioneer Valley String Band from 2pm-4pm. Free wagon ride and walking farm tours after the cows are out! \nThis is a free\, family friendly event at your local dairy farm! Hope to see you there!
