Barstow's Longview Farm, along with four other local dairy farms have partnered with Quasar Energy Group and other investors to form AGreen Energy, LLC. The current project will put five methane digesters on farms in Massachusetts. Construction for the digester at Barstow’s Longview Farm is currently happening!! Anaerobic digesters convert manure and food scraps into environmentally friendly energy and keep small dairy farms, like Barstow's, economically viable. For more information regarding the digester please visit www.agreenenergyllc.com Barstow’s Absolutely Local Beef Are you the average American adult who eats 75–100 lbs of beef a year? He graduated from Hopkins Academy in 2000, received his Bachelor of Arts from UMass Amherst in 2006 after returning from Iraq with the Army National Guard, and currently works in human services. He has been teaching himself photography for the past four years and jumps at any chance to combine this passion with his lifelong interests in nature and travel. Inspiration for his photos comes from the Zen-like moment/mood freezing magic of photography and the beauty that can be found in approaching everyday objects/scenes from different perspectives. It is not uncommon for Drew to be set up before sunrise or well into the night to get the right mood and light. He receives tremendous help and support from the people in his life; his girlfriend, parents, and brother have all played subject or assistant at one time or another.
